Herr-Voss Stamco Installing New Strand Extensioner Slitting Line for Cascadia Metals
10/22/2013 - Herr-Voss Stamco is manufacturing a new Strand Extensioner® slitting line for Cascadia Metals Ltd. in Canada.
The backbone of the new slitting line will be the industry leading Herr-Voss Stamco Strand Extensioner® which not only provides evenly rewound coils, but also provides leveling and burr reduction to the slit material which allows the end user to create higher quality slit mults.
The line will process material with a thickness range of .012” up to 1/4” with an incoming coil capacity of 50,000 lbs. x 72” wide. The slitting line also includes Herr-Voss Stamco’s quick change injector slitter head system which allows operators to efficiently change slitter heads out of the line.
This line will be installed in Cascadia’s Brandon, Manitoba, facility in Canada.
