Heat Treat Equipment Maker Wins Orders for Annealing Facility Expansions
10/13/2017 - voestalpine is expanding its new bell annealing facility in Linz, Austria, adding four high-temperature workbases, according to the equipment supplier, Ebner Industrieofenbau.
In a statement, Ebner said the workbases will be equipped with its atmosphere cooling technology. The new equipment will be used primarily to heat treat electrical strip.
voestalpine commissioned the facility last year.
Separately, Ebner said it is being called upon to expand bell annealing facilities in Pakistan and Turkey.
In a statement, Ebner said it has contracts to supply eight HICON/H2 work bases to International Steels Ltd. in Pakistan and seven of the same workbases to Gazi Metal Mamulleri Sanayi Ve Ticaret A.S. in Karasu, Turkey.
With the expansion, the International Steels facility, which processes low-carbon coiled strip, will have 20 workbases. The Gazi Metal expansion, set for completion in 2018, also will give the facility 20 workbases.
