Harsco Wins US$40 Million Contract with South American Steelmaker
09/19/2016 - Mill contractor Harsco Corp. has signed a new US$40 million agreement with Chile’s largest steelmaker, CAP Huachipato, Harsco announced on Monday.
The seven-year agreement extends Harsco’s long-standing relationship with Huachipato – and expands it. Not only will it continue providing metal recovery and meltshop support services, it will now provide several new services, including scrap management, Harsco said.
"The expansion of this agreement – both in length and in scope – marks a significant step forward in our decades-long relationship with CAP Huachipato," said Harsco president and chief executive Nick Grasberger said in a statement.
"Even in the face of challenging market conditions, we are able to provide our customers with an unmatched portfolio of services and experience that directly meets their needs and expectations."
Harsco has provided on-site services to the steelmaker since 1981.
