Harris Joins Biden in Opposing U. S. Steel Sale
09/03/2024 - U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris said she disapproves of Nippon Steel Corp.’s planned acquisition of United States Steel Corporation, arguing that the company should remain domestically owned.
“U. S. Steel is an historic American company, and it is vital for our nation to maintain strong American steel companies,” Harris said during a Labor Day event Monday in Pittsburgh, Pa., according to the Bloomberg news service.
