Greer Steel Selects Matisko for VP-Commercial

Greer Steel, a U.S. producer of cold rolled strip steel, has named David E. Matisko as Vice President-Commercial at the company’s Dover, Ohio, facility. Matisko brings over 25 years of steel industry experience to his new position, most recently as General Manager of Sales at RG Steel.

Matisko’s career began in 1985 at LTV Steel Company where he held key management and marketing positions over a 17-year period before moving on to Beta Steel/NLMK and serving as Vice President of Sales.

In making the announcement, Greer CEO and President, John Raese, stated, "David has an excellent in-depth understanding of the dynamics of the steel market. His talents and experience are very well matched to the strategies we are pursuing to serve our customers and grow our business in the years ahead."

 

 


Greer Steel, founded in 1917, produces cold rolled strip steel to customer specifications including various carbon grades, demanding surface finishes, tight gauge control, and edging, which can be supplied as coils or cut to length. The company is headquartered and has its main plant in Dover, Ohio along with its service center in Ferndale, Mich. Both facilities are ISO 9001-2000 certified and the Dover facility’s metals laboratory is A2LA accredited.
