Gibraltar Names Vice President of Supply Chain Management

Gibraltar has named John E. Wagner Vice President of Supply Chain Management, effective immediately.

Wagner, 43, will coordinate all of Gibraltar's corporate purchasing and transportation activities, with the critically important goals of reducing costs, improving efficiencies, and strengthening the relationships with all of its key suppliers.

Throughout his more than 20-year career, Wagner has worked for large multi-national companies recognized as leaders in procurement and supply chain management. Most recently, Wagner was working for United Technology's Carrier Division in Indianapolis, Ind., where he was Director of Supply Chain Management for Carrier's North American Residential Business Unit, a $2-billion business. There, he oversaw strategic global sourcing and material spending for multiple Carrier locations.

Over the course of his career, which included a three-year international assignment in the United Kingdom, he has also worked for Xerox and Eastman Kodak.

Wagner received his bachelor's degree in Manufacturing and Materials Management at the Rochester Institute of Technology, Rochester, N.Y., and his MBA in Supply Chain Management from Arizona State University, Tempe, Ariz. He is a Certified Purchasing Manager of the Institute for Supply Management, Inc.
