KOCKS said in a statement that the steelmaker replaced its old gauge with a KOCKS 4D EAGLE, which sits at the exit of the existing KOCKS reducing and sizing block.

KOCKS said the new gauge will increase the reliability and consistency of hot-bar measurements under variable operating conditions. The gauge also is tied into the reducing and sizing block’s size control system, providing closed-loop process control.
