Gerdau acquired the St-Jean-sur-Richelieu operation from L.B. Foster Co. for an undisclosed amount.

“We are pleased to welcome the St-Jean team to the Gerdau family. This operation has a long history of supplying customers with outstanding products, and I am excited for what today’s announcement means for our shared future,” said Chia Yuan Wang, president of Gerdau Long Steel North America.

The operation makes track components, including rail anchors and track spikes.
