Galvanizer Plans South Carolina Facility
07/11/2017 - A fabricated steel products galvanizer plans to build a US$14.1 million facility in South Carolina, the South Carolina Department of Commerce said on Tuesday.
In an announcement, the state said Steel Creek Galvanizing Co. LLC is planning a 82,000 square foot facility in Cherokee County, which sits along the state’s border with North Carolina.
“After an exhaustive search for an ideal location, we are pleased to announce that we have found it in Cherokee County. The assistance and cooperation of state, county and local officials has been outstanding, and we look forward to beginning construction soon,” Steel Creek president Jim Mack said in a statement.
Hiring is expected to begin in the first quarter of 2018.
