Gallatin Steel recently celebrated 10 years in business during a festive anniversary celebration attended by a crowd of nearly 500 attendees—including current and former employees, customers, vendors and contractors.
“We are very proud of the business that we have become since producing our first coil in 1995,” said Gallatin Steel President, Don Daily. “Last year, Gallatin Steel produced a record 1.5 million tons of steel coils while ranking among the best in both quality and customer service. The celebration officially kicked off with congratulations from Lieutenant Governor Pence and Gallatin County Judge Executive, George Zubaty, officially declaring July 14 to be ‘Gallatin Steel Day.’ Senator Roeding presented a citation from the State Senate recognizing Gallatin Steel’s ten years of community service and contributions to the economic vitality of Northern Kentucky. The celebration concluded with a cookout lunch for all attendees.
“We hosted this celebration event,” said Cathy Hanley, Gallatin’s General Manager of Human Resources, “to acknowledge the milestones that Gallatin has achieved, and to have the opportunity to personally thank many who have played a role in the Company’s success with their dedication and support.”
In March, Gallatin Steel placed fourth in the large company division of the 'Best Places to Work in Kentucky' competition sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce and the Kentucky Society for Human Resource Management.
