G.O. Carlson Inc. Announces Personnel Changes
04/06/2015 - Rick Trudeau Announces Retirement, Craig Travaglini Joins Company to Fill Position
G.O. Carlson Inc., a leading custom producer of specialty and stainless steels, has announced the retirement of Rick Trudeau, V.P. Sales-Plate.
Trudeau provided G.O. Carlson with 39 years of dedicated service. A graduate of Temple University, Trudeau served in several capacities prior to his current position. Reflecting on his time at G.O. Carlson, Trudeau stated, “I couldn’t have had a more fulfilling career nor worked for a better company. I am looking forward to retirement but certainly will miss the many friends at the company and my great customers.”
“Rick has played an integral role in helping to shape G.O. Carlson into the world-class company it is today,” said Gunard Travaglini. “We thank him for his outstanding service, and we wish him good times and happiness as he enters the next phase of his life.”
Filling Trudeau’s position will be Craig C.Travaglini, representing the fourth generation to join the family-owned G. O. Carlson, Inc. business. A graduate of Northeastern University, Travaglini most recently served as Senior Associate at EYP Architecture & Engineering, in Boston MA. As an experienced mechanical engineer, Travaglini will put his skill and expertise to good use in his new position in the family business where he will be responsible for leading the Plate Department’s sales team.
Electralloy/G.O. Carlson Plate is a custom melter of specialty and stainless steel alloys. The company provides AOD melt, Electroslag Remelt (ESR) and Vacuum Arc Remelt (VAR), as well as conversion services. Electralloy serves the aerospace, power generation, nuclear, forging, military, automotive, marine, agriculture, chemical, and other demanding applications. Products range from simple low alloy steel to complex high-temperature alloys, in ingots, slabs, plate, billets, bars, master alloy pigs and Nitronic® weld wire.
