Future Metals Relocates, Expands Operations in England

Located in Milton Keynes, the new facility boasts increased warehousing space and additional capacity for value added processing.

"We simply outgrew our old facility in Harlow," says Rob Smith, Future Metals UK division manager. "Since our move there from Southampton in 2008, our business has grown so significantly that it made our previous location obsolete. Our customers require additional processing capacity for cut- to-length tubes, extrusions and bars, as well as sheet shearing and PVC coating. When our customers speak, we listen."

The new facility has almost double the capacity compared to the company's previous space, and is located closer to key customers and transportation hubs in England.

Based in Tamarac, Fla., Future Metals is a global leader in the distribution of aircraft-quality metal tube, extrusion, sheet and bar products to the aircraft manufacturing and maintenance industry. The company operates nine strategically-located service centers in the UK, Europe, North America and Singapore.

Future Metals and its affiliate companies, including Marmon/Keystone LLC, are Marmon Distribution Services/Berkshire Hathaway companies and members of The Marmon Group, an international association of more than 150 business units that operate independently within diverse business sectors.
