Fortescue CEO Sees Chinese Steel Production Rising This Year
04/11/2019 - China’s crude steel production potentially could grow to more than 950 million metric tons this year, according to the chief executive of iron ore miner Fortescue Metals Group.
Fortescue chief executive Elizabeth Gaines told the Nikkei Asian Review that the Chinese government's focus on infrastructure investment is driving demand for steel, and by extension iron ore.
