In a statement, H2 Green Steel said Mark Bula will serve as chief commercial officer and will be tasked with recruiting and developing a team of commercial and customer service experts. Bula currently is working as part of the project’s fundraising and investor activities team, which recently closed on a US$105 million Series A funding round. 

Bula previously was a member of the Big River Steel development team and served as chief revenue officer and chief commercial officer. 

“Mark is a renowned leader with a passion for building strong partnerships with customers. His experience with strategic development, along with his ability to positively position companies via his commercial and sales efforts, will prove essential to our mission to accelerate the decarbonization of steelmaking,” said H2 Green Steel chief executive Henrik Henriksson.
