Former ATI Executive Joins TimkenSteel Board
08/14/2015 - A retired executive has been elected as an independent director to TimkenSteel Corp.'s board, filling a newly added seat, the company has announced.
Terry L. Dunlap, who retired from Allegheny Technologies Inc. as an executive vice president, becomes the 10th director on TimkenSteel's board.
"Terry brings a lifetime of knowledge in all aspects of the metals industry to the TimkenSteel board," said Ward J. "Tim" Timken Jr., TimkenSteel's chairman and CEO, in a statement.
"From marketing and supply chain to serving as the leader of a $2 billion specialty metals business, his experience adds further depth to our board of directors' already significant understanding of the market and supply chain dynamics that affect our business," he said.
Dunlap spent 31 years with Allegheny Technologies and held numerous leadership positions in sales, marketing, manufacturing, and supply chain management, among other areas. From 2011 until his retirement in December 2014, he was the executive vice president of ATI's flat-rolled products division.
Dunlap is now the principal at Sweetwater LLC, a newly formed consulting and investing business with a focus on manufacturing and technology.
He holds a bachelor's degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
