For Dongkuk Steel, The Technology Race Comes to a Photo Finish
08/31/2016 - South Korea’s Dongkuk Steel said it has developed inkjet printing technology designed specifically for printing on steel sheets, reports BusinessKorea.
According to the publication, the technology combines specialty solvent inks and a special printer to solve a problem associated with existing technology – the inks can sometimes corrode the underlying steel and using ultraviolet light to cure them can sometimes cause discoloration.
The publication said the technology allows photos to be printed on steel, just as they can be on paper.
