FLANDERS Grows Customer Base Through Acquisition
12/21/2017 - U.S.-based power and control systems manufacturer and engineer FLANDERS Inc. has acquired an electric motor repair shop for an undisclosed amount, the company has announced.
In a statement, Flanders said its acquisition of Alabama Electric Motor Services will allow it to provide additional services to existing customers and will give it a greater foothold in the U.S. aluminum industry, with which Alabama Electric already has a strong customer base.
"The Alabama facility is a great fit with FLANDERS’ electric motor repair and systems integration business and our core values," said FLANDERS chief operating officer Allen Patterson. "This acquisition extends our reach into this region by continuing to provide excellent and additional services to existing customers as well as growing relationships with new customers."
Alabama Electric specializes in the repair of electric motors of up to 10 tons and testing and diagnostics. It also provides field services, including drive and PLC troubleshooting.
Alabama Electric, which is being renamed FLANDERS Sheffield Regional Service Center, employs 18 people.
