Fives Bronx Receives Order For API Pipe Straightening Equipment
04/29/2013 - Fives Bronx has received an order for a six roll straightening machine from TPCO America.
Fives Bronx, the global supplier of Bronx Taylor-Wilson finishing equipment and Abbey ERW pipe mill solutions, has received an order for a six roll straightening machine. The order was placed by TPCO America, a Chinese company located in Corpus Christi, Texas, for a Bronx Series 6CR10 Pipe Straightener that will handle a full range of API grades, with diameters ranging from 114.3- to 273.1-mm and lengths to 15-m. The temperature ranges from ambient to 650ºC and will process the pipes up to 100 mpm.
The Fives Bronx Series 6CR10 Pipe Straightener also utilizes its patented computer aided setting system “COMPASS” to achieve size change set-up times in less than three minutes and its unique design allows thin walled tube to be straightened accurately, without surface blemishes, at speeds up to 200 meters per minute (approximately 600 fpm).
