Fire Rips Through Decommissioned Steel Mill
11/09/2016 - A huge fire engulfed a portion of the former Bethlehem Steel Corp. plant in Lackawanna, N.Y., on Wednesday morning, disrupting traffic and forcing the evacuation of nearby residents.
"This thing is massive," a fire official said in an emergency radio call, The Buffalo News reported.
According to The Buffalo News, the fire began sometime around 7 a.m. at the sprawling facility. Black smoke could be seen from miles away, the newspaper said.
