Filter Products Company Appoints New Chief Executive
05/24/2017 - Filtration products maker and services provider Micronics Filtration Holdings Inc. has named Bernard C. "Bernie" Faulkner as president and chief executive officer of its engineered filtration group, the company has announced.
"I am excited to be leading the Micronics Engineered Filtration Group at this time in the company's history. I am committed to ensuring that we consistently exceed the expectations of our customers with innovative, high-quality engineered filtration products and services,” Faulkner said in a statement.
"Whether with our filter presses, filter cloth, air pollution control maintenance and repair services, or expertly crafted filter bags for demanding market requirements, I am looking forward to working with this very talented team to best serve our customers' growing needs across diverse markets and applications."
Prior to his appointment, Faulkner served as president Pall Filter Specialists Inc. He had headed Filter Specialists Inc. for more than 12 years, prior to its acquisition by Pall Corporation.
"Under the 12-year period of Mr. Faulkner's leadership at FSI, the company enjoyed a solid 8% annual sales growth. It is noteworthy this was achieved without the benefit of product or company acquisitions. Bernie's success in leading an organic growth strategy at FSI makes him the ideal executive to lead a profitable growth strategy at the Micronics Engineered Filtration Group and we are looking forward to his contributions," Michael Janish, a partner at Vance Street Capital, said.
Vance Street Capital acquired a majority interest in the business in 2013.
Micronics said Faulkner has an extensive track record in liquid filtration, but also brings executive experience in other businesses, including interactive software and computerized machining systems; compressed air filtration and dehydration equipment; injection molds and large plastic products; and electrostatic finishing.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in industrial management from Purdue University and an MBA from Indiana University's Kelley School of Business.
Micronics’ engineered filter group is made up of wet and dry filtration companies Micronics, Inc., Southern Filter Media, C.P. Environmental, United Process Control, and the assets of AeroPulse.
