Falk PLI Appoints New Project Managers
10/22/2013 - Falk PLI, a specialist in industrial metrology, laser equipment alignment and engineering, recently appointed four new project managers to its team.
Falk PLI has added Nancy Hake of Valparaiso as project manager, with particular focus on clients in the metals industries. Hake’s responsibilities include managing and expanding Falk PLI’s engineering services and enhancing value to clients.
Hake, a Northwest Indiana native, brings with her over 30 years of world-class experience in the steel industry. Prior to joining Falk PLI, Hake held several managerial positions in quality assurance and operations with ArcelorMittal, most recently serving as manager, hot rolling quality assurance at the Indiana Harbor facility. Hake holds a B.A. in chemistry and a MBA — both from Indiana University–Northwest.
According to president and CEO Mike Falk, “Nancy’s in-depth technical knowledge complements our commitment to expanding our services beyond traditional measuring and helping further address our clients’ capital improvement and operation efficiency needs.”
Falk PLI also welcomes Kurt Smith to its team as a project manager. As a 25 year industry veteran, Smith brings expertise and a strong industry reputation that complements his responsibilities of managing and expanding Falk PLI’s engineering services.
Smith studied engineering at William Penn College and served in the U.S. Army. In addition, he is a graduate of the Construction Advancement Foundation’s Project Management Academy and continues to serve as a member of many professional and civic organizations.
According to president and CEO Mike Falk, “Kurt’s background brings a focus on the commercial sector of the business that is part of our strategic growth initiatives. Under his leadership we are confident that we can expand the reach of our technology and client base.”
Falk PLI has also welcomed Greg Koszut to its team as a project manager. In this position, Koszut will be responsible for managing multiple projects and clients to insure that Falk PLI continues to lead the industry in helping our clients solve problems through innovative technology and institutional expertise.
A native of Northwest Indiana, Koszut holds a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering technology degree from Purdue University Calumet and brings 25 years of industry related experience.
“Greg’s strong background in mechanical engineering and industry experience as a problem solver will help further our growth initiatives. Over the years he has been a reputable competitor. I am glad he is now on our team,” said Mike Falk, president & CEO.
Shawn Kelly has also joined Falk PLI’s team as a project manager. His responsibilities include managing and expanding Falk PLI’s engineering services and enhancing value to clients in both the industrial and commercial sectors.
Kelly, a Northwest Indiana native, brings over 25 years of land development and project management expertise. Kelly currently is the president of the Construction Advancement Foundation of Northwest Indiana and holds a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering and a Bachelor of Science in landscape architecture from Purdue University.
