Factory Tests Complete, a New Graphite Extrusion Press Is Out for Delivery
07/17/2020 - Danieli Breda has shipped a new 35-mn graphite extrusion press to electrodes manufacturer Showa Denko, which is installing the unit at its La Coruña plant in Spain.
Danieli said the press will be capable of extruding cylinders in diameters up to 850 mm and in lengths of up to 3,500 mm.
“The (press) incorporates several innovative Danieli Breda core design elements, making the new Showa Denko extrusion press and its auxiliary devices the most advanced in the graphite electrode industry, in terms of safety, quality, consistency and efficiency,” Danieli said.
The press is to be commissioned later this year.
