EVRAZ Announces Organizational Changes, Creation of New Division

EVRAZ plc announced organizational changes in the company’s management designed to improve and intensify management of key product groups. The changes center on establishment of a separate Division for Railway Products to deal with production and sales as well as product development for railway applications.
 
The new Division of Railway Products will include the whole manufacturing chain of this type of products at it Russian-based enterprises, EVRAZ ZSMK and EVRAZ NTMK. The Division of Railway Products will also include EVRAZ NMTP sea port and EvrazTrans transport company.

The other shops within EVRAZ ZSMK and EVRAZ NTMK that produce construction longs and other types of steel products are to remain within the company’s Steel Division. Trading Companies EvrazHolding, East Metals AG and steel center EVRAZ Metall Inprom will also be merged into the Steel Division.

As part of the new Division, the company announced the appointment of Ilya Shirokobrod to the position Vice President, Head of Division of Railway Products. Within the scope of his new position Shirokobrod shall also chair the Management committee for railway products, thus providing for efficient coordination at the international level for EVRAZ’s global strategy in this segment. Apart from production issues, the scope of responsibility of the Head of Division shall include sales of railway products and purchasing of raw materials to supply the needs of the division.

Shirokobrod, who previously held the position of Vice President of Sales, joined EVRAZ in February 2010. He previously held managing positions in Centravis Limited, Alcoa CSI, Melitta Russland and Tetra Pak. In 2005 he earned a Master’s degree from Stockholm School of Economics under the school’s International Executive MBA program.

The company said that Alexey Ivanov, the Vice President, Head of Steel Division will continue his activities in this position with a substantial extension of scope of his functions. His area of responsibility will nw include production, sales of construction longs and other steel products, as well as purchasing of raw materials for this industry.

Ivanov joined EVRAZ in 2002. Previously he held various positions in ZAO Liggett-Ducat, OAO AB Incombank. He graduated from INSEAD in 2002. He has been a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants since 2004.
