Evraz Announces New Executive Appointments
03/11/2009 - Evraz Group SA announces the appointment of Alexander Boreyko as Director of Investor Relations, and Sergey Lavrinenko as Head of Communications and Public Affairs.
Evraz Group SA announced the appointment of Alexander Boreyko as Director of Investor Relations and Sergey Lavrinenko as Head of Communications and Public Affairs.

Alexander Boreyko previously worked as International and Investor Relations Director of VimpelCom (Beeline), which he joined in June 2007. He also worked as Investor Relations Director of Sitronics, playing an important role in the Sitronics IPO on the London Stock Exchange in February 2007, as an editor of the Technology / Telecommunications section of the Russian business daily newspaper Vedomosti, which he joined in 2001 as a reporter.
Boreyko graduated from the Economics Department of Moscow State University (MGU) with a degree in Mathematical Economics in 1998. He graduated from the Journalism Department of MGU in 1999 with a degree in Business Journalism, and also completed postgraduate studies at Moscow Institute for Electronic Technique (MIET) in 2003. In 2000 he completed a Reuters/Wincott Fellowship Program for business journalists in Oxford, UK.
In his new position, Sergey Lavrinenko’s key responsibilities will encompass such areas as Media Relations, Internal Communications and Corporate Social Responsibility. He brings to his new position more than twelve years of business communications experience in such industries as mining, oil and gas and FMCG.
Prior to joining Evraz, Lavrinenko worked for Highland Gold, one of Russia’s leading gold-mining companies, and Barrick Gold, the world’s largest gold miner. Before June 2006 he held the position of Director Public Affairs at Multon, a Coca-Cola juice division in Russia. In 1998-2004 his career was associated with oil and gas companies, including TNK-BP and SIDANCO. Lavrinenko graduated from Moscow State University (MGU) with a degree in Journalism.
