Based in Cleveland, Ohio, HyComp makes wear rings and roll polishing systems.

Saint-Gobain said the acquisition is in keeping with its strategy to develop new and complementary technological niches. The company said the addition of HyComp will allow it to expand its portfolio of materials for technically demanding applications.
