12/31/2012 - The Essar Steel Hazira facility was recognized for excellence in safety, winning the runner-up Manufacturing Today Award 2012 in the large industries category.
The Essar Steel Hazira facility was recognized for excellence in safety, winning the runner-up Manufacturing Today Award 2012 in the large industries category. The publishers of the reputed magazine, Manufacturing Today, instituted the award in recognition of the accomplishments of manufacturing plants in the field of safety in their production operations.
The annual awards are presented by ITP India, publishers of the magazine, as a mark of celebrating excellence in Indian manufacturing.
Virendrasinh Gohil, head of the health, safety and environment conservation (HSE) department at the Essar Steel Pune facility, accepted the award on behalf of the company at the awards function held in Pune on 23 November 2012.
