Esmark Names President of Wheeling Corrugating
01/22/2008 - Esmark announced the appointment of steel industry veteran Joel Mazur as President of its Wheeling Corrugating division.
Esmark Inc. announced the appointment of Joel Mazur as President of its Wheeling Corrugating Co. division.
In his new position, Mazur will report to Thomas Modrowski, Executive Vice President of Downstream
Operations.
Mazur’s steel industry career spans over 25 years, including positions at Winner Steel; the former The Techs, which is now part of Steel Dynamics; the former Weirton Steel Corp., which is now part of ArcelorMittal; and the former National Steel Corp., which is now part of U. S. Steel.
"Joel's broad experience in the steel industry coupled with his strong educational background makes him a valuable asset to our management team and the right candidate to optimize the Wheeling Corrugating business going forward," commented James P. Bouchard, Chairman and CEO of Esmark Inc.
Mazur, 48, holds a master's degree in business from the University of Pittsburgh and a bachelor's degree in economics from Harvard University.
Esmark Inc., a vertically integrated steel producer and distributor, combines steel production capabilities through both blast furnace and electric arc furnace technologies with the just-in-time delivery of value-added steel products to a broad customer base concentrated in the Ohio Valley and Midwest regions. Wheeling Corrugating Co. is part of the company's Downstream Operations Segment. Its major products include construction products utilized in the non-residential building market; agricultural products used in the roofing and siding markets; and specialty products used in the culvert and heating, ventilation and air conditioning markets.
