Environmental Court Grants Permissibility to Swedish Green Mill
07/06/2022 - H2 Green Steel, a start-up producer that is planning to build a hydrogen-based mill in Sweden, has cleared a regulatory hurdle and plans to start work later this month, the company has announced.
In a statement, H2 Green Steel said the Environmental Court in Umeå has approved the permissibility of the 5 million metric ton plant, allowing site preparation to begin.
“H2 Green Steel will start preparatory work at the site within the next two weeks, while planning for the next phase of its permit which the company is hoping to have approved by the end of 2022,” the company said.
