EMSCO Inc. Introduced Innovative Cooling Tower at AISTech 2015

This year's show was not only the largest in AISTech's history, but the largest in the history of the Cleveland Convention Center.

In many ways, the iron and steel industry helped shape modern America, and every year professionals from this storied industry gather to share the industry's latest innovations first hand. Technical sessions are held that focus on enhancing steel knowledge as well as student events aimed to help groom the next generation of iron and steel specialists.

Operations Managers, Project Engineers, Plant Supervisors, and Students from throughout the iron and steel community spoke with EMSCO engineers and executives about the new wave in process cooling - the HyprCool. HyprCool's adiabatic cooling technology eliminates seasonal overheating and freezing issues typically of traditional cooling towers. It also operates without a reservoir of standing water, thereby reducing facility health risks by eliminating the bacterial breeding grounds that cause Legionnaires' disease.

"It's great to show off the HyprCool for the cutting-edge process cooling system that it is," said Paul Wolanski, Vice President & General Manager of Northern Operations. "HyprCool's smaller footprint appeals to those with crowded operations, while those in the West find a great value in its water saving technology."

EMSCO President Jim Dyer also commented, "For years, we've been able to quickly serve our customers by having locations throughout the country. We're excited to now be manufacturing in the United States and can considerably reduce lead time and better serve an even greater number of industries demanding water savings and a reduction of energy in process cooling."

Data associated with HyprCools recently sold to operations in the Midwest indicate significant energy and water savings when compared to traditional process cooling systems.

"As demands for industrial water conservation rise, and customers realize our hybrid cooling systems provide the benefits of both dry and evaporative cooling, EMSCO is positioning itself for significant expanse," said Susan Hunter, Director of Development Engineering. "Our manufacturing processes are helping us meet industry demand. We were pleased to share this technology with the AISTech crowd and appreciate the positive feedback we've received on HyprCool."
