EMJ Opens Metals Processing and Distribution Facility in Quebec City

Feb. 8, 2006 — Earle M. Jorgensen Co. has opened a new metals processing and distribution facility in Quebec City, Que.
The 20,000-square-foot facility will hold an extensive inventory of bar and tube stock and cutting equipment on-site. The facility, which will have a full-time area manager on-site, will enable Earle M. Jorgensen to offer daily product deliveries and enhanced service to customers in the Quebec City region. The company currently operates a facility in Montreal, Que.
"The opening of our new Quebec City facility extends Earle M. Jorgensen's reach into the Canadian market while enabling us to better serve our customers with value-added services and more frequent deliveries in and around Quebec City," said William Gertin, Director of Canadian Operations for Earle M. Jorgensen Company.
Quebec City is EMJ’s fifth new facility opening or expansion announced in recent months, following those in or near Toronto; Spokane, Wash.; Houston; and Hartford, Conn.

The company inventories more than 25,000 different bar, tubing, plate, and various other metal products, specializing in cold finished carbon and alloy bars, mechanical tubing, stainless bars and shapes, aluminum bars, shapes and tubes, and hot-rolled carbon and alloy bars.
