In a statement, U.S.-based Phoenix said it has been contracted to agglomerate mill by-products. The contract is part of Emirates Steel's Green Initiatives program, which is intended to enable the reuse of mill waste, the company said. 

"This contract demonstrates Phoenix Services' and the region's commitment to recycling and environmentally conscious steel production," said Phoenix chief executive Mark Essig.
