Dubai Steelmaker's Rebar Wins Standards Certification
05/27/2016 - The Dubai Central Laboratory has awarded a standards certification to a nanocrystalline rebar being manufactured by United Arab Emirates-based Star Steel International.
The certification applies to its ChrōmX ASTM A1035 Grade 100 rebar in diameters of 10 mm to 40 mm and in CL, CM and CS alloy grades. Star Steel produces ChrōmX under license of MMFX Technologies Corp. in Irvine, Calif.
“The certification of MMFX steel produced by Star Steel International now opens the Dubai market for MMFX’s ChrōmX rebar, representing our continued sales expansion in the Middle East," said MMFX chief executive Thomas Russo in a statement.
"Dubai has tremendous growth plans for its infrastructure and the metropolis, and with its corrosive environment and soils will benefit from both the high strength and corrosion resistance of ChrōmX rebar,” he added.
