Dofasco is donating $100,000 to the Canadian Red Cross South Asia Earthquake and Tsunami Relief Fund.

The company's Employee Donations Fund is contributing an additional $10,000 to the Red Cross relief effort. Dofasco is also facilitating the collection of personal donations by company employees who wish to make further contributions.

"Dofasco is providing support in recognition of the tragedy that has occurred and the significant challenges ahead for the people throughout South Asia," said Dofasco President and CEO Don Pether.

"Both the need and the response to the Canadian Red Cross for the Tsunami disaster has been immense," said Diana Borowski, Director of Fund Development for the Ontario Zone of the Canadian Red Cross. "Generous support from companies such as Dofasco is greatly appreciated."
