IMS, an engineering consulting firm and custom machinery builder, focuses primarily on the materials handling industry and has experience in designing and manufacturing wire rope hoists for overhead material handling, end trucks for bridge cranes, gearboxes, load blocks and below-the-hook devices.  
              
The company said that with this experience, the acquisition of IMS will enable DeSHAZO to respond quickly to service requests, more effectively route parts requests and gain efficiencies in the repair cycle.
