According to Danieli, the project entailed a teardown and rebuild of the existing drive motor and gearboxes, sledge repair, and replacement of the entire sliding shoe. New top and bottom blades and knife clamping cylinders were provided.
 
Danieli said the project was completed ahead of schedule, due in part to close cooperation with SAIL BSP personnel.
