In a statement, Danieli said it will equip the plant with its MI.DA endless casting and bar rolling technology, making it the third plant in the U.S. to employ the technology.  

The mill is being designed to produce 350,000 tons of rebar annually. It also will be built to accommodate a future installation of a rebar spooling line. 

Nucor announced it would build the US$250 million facility in Missouri in November. It has a second micro-mill under consideration. 

The Sedalia mill is scheduled to begin producing in the third quarter of 2019.
