According to a press release from Danieli, the casters will produce 165-mm quality billets and provide hot billets for the new rolling mills, thereby minimizing energy consumption.
 
The first caster will feed three wire rod lines with the capacity to produce 0.8 million tons per year of deformed and plain rounds (5.5 to 16 mm diameter) per line. The second and third casters will deliver billets to two bar lines capable of producing up to 2.3 million tons per year of rebar (18 to 40 mm diameter) each. The fourth caster will serve two HTC high-speed bar lines, producing 12-to-20-mm-dia. rebar.
 
The plant is expected to start-up by 2023.
