According to Danieli, the order is for three continuous billet casters and two bar and wire rod mills, all designed to make construction-grade steel. 

The casters, each with 6 strands, will produce billets in sizes of between 130 mm and 165 mm. They will be equipped with Danieli’s Fast Cast Cube molds and its Hy-Power oscillation drive system. 

As for the 2-strand rolling mills, one will be set up to produce rebar in diameters of between 10 mm and 25 mm and wire rod in diameters of 5.5 and 16 mm. The other will produce rebar in sizes of between 10 mm and 40 mm. Each of the mills will be fitted with 16 housingless stands; two 4-pass, high-speed finishing blocks; and quench-and-tempering capabilities. 

The plant, to be built in two phases, eventually will be capable of producing 4 million metric tons annually.
