The upgrade included a payoff reel, coil car, hold-down roll structure, flattener, shear, pinch roll, steel structures and roller tables; as well as advisory services from erection and commission to production start-up.
 
According to Danieli, the upgrade will allow ArcelorMittal to operate with oval coils that give extra loads in the uncoiling phase and will also reduce periodic maintenance time.
 
The erection and commissioning activities were performed while the rest of the line remained in production.
