Danieli Secures Order for Heat Treat Furnace
10/17/2016 - Danieli Olivotto Ferré has won an order for a roller hearth furnace from Mexican tubemaker TenarisTamsa.
According to Danieli, the furnace is being designed to heat treat carbon steel tube in a protective atmosphere.
“A wide size range of tubes (15 to 120 mm diameter and 3 to 16 m lengths) will be processed using different treatments, such as normalizing and tempering, ensuring low fuel consumption and low environmental pollution,” Danieli said in a statement.
The contract includes automatic loading and unloading tables, a normalizing cooling section and the water jacket cooling chamber. The furnace is to be installed at the company’s Veracruz plant by January 2018, Danieli said.
