Danieli QSP Plant in Vietnam Completes Phase Two of Start-Up

The expansion included the “installation of an additional fifth finishing stand and a third downcoiler in the hot rolling mill area, along with two more segments added to each of the two thin-slab caster lines.” Additionally, production capacity of low- and medium-carbon, low-carbon high-strength low-alloy (HSLA) and medium-carbon HSLA-family steel grades increased from 3.5 million tons per year to 3.9 million tons per year.  
 
Shutdown at the plant lasted only 27 days and resumed production ahead of schedule, according to a company press release.
