Danieli Lands Contract for Vietnamese Cold Rolling Mill
02/15/2016 - Danieli has won an order for a 2-stand cold reversing mill and a hot-dipped galvanizing line from Vietnamese galvanizer Ton Dong A.
According to Danieli, the equipment is bound for the company’s new cold rolling facility in the province of Binh Duong. Danieli said the galvanizing line will have a capacity of 150,000 tons per year and will be capable of processing strips in widths of up to 1,250 mm and thickness of between 0.16 mm and 1 mm.
It will be equipped with a Danieli Centro Combustion annealing furnace, an X-Jet Danieli Kohler air wiping system, and a Danieli Q-Surface skinpass and tension leveler. Danieli Automation will develop and supply the electrical system and automation.
Danieli said the 2-stand, cold reversing mill is designed to produce 400,000 tons of low-carbon strip in thicknesses beginning at 0.11 mm and in widths of up to 1,250 mm. Equipped with selective roll coolant systems and shapemeter roll, the mill will run on odd and even passes, Danieli said.
