Danieli Corus to Supply Sublance Systems and BOF Process Control for Shagang
07/15/2013 - Danieli Corus has been awarded an order for the design and supply of three complete sublance systems and a static-dynamic BOF process control model for the No. 1 steel plant operated by China’s Shagang (Jiangsu Shagang Group Co. Ltd.).
This plant is currently equipped with competing systems that are underperforming. The systems that are now on order replace these systems that are hampered by operational issues, which have a negative impact on steel production of the plant.
The project scope includes the modernization of the BOF process monitoring equipment for all three 180-tonne converters with new sublances, and also the implementation of the static-dynamic BOF process control model, which will enable fully automated steelmaking from charge to tap.
