Danieli Corus to Supply Sublance System for Taiwanese Stainless Steelmaker
03/13/2014 - After supplying more than 100 sublance systems for LD converters, Danieli Corus is now entering the market of stainless steel AOD converter shops.
Taiwan-based Formosa Plastics Group awarded Danieli Corus an order for the design and supply of a sublance system for its Fujian, Xiamen Stainless Steel Plant.
The project objective is to install a side-shifting type sublance system for the 150-metric-ton converter, while normal production will continue as much as possible. The DIRC-6 measurement system will be modified such that inblow TSC measurements will provide carbon values based on the actual Ni/Cr content of the steel grade under production. This input will enable the plant engineers to optimize process time and minimize the use of oxygen and material additions.
