Danieli Corus to Design Greenfield Blast Furnace for AMK
05/18/2007 - Alchevskiy Metallurgicheskiy Kombinat (AMK) has awarded Danieli Corus an order for design and supply of a greenfield blast furnace installation at its facility in southeastern Ukraine.
Alchevskiy Metallurgicheskiy Kombinat (AMK, Alchevsk Iron & Steel Works), Ukraine, has awarded Danieli Corus an order for a greenfield blast furnace installation at its facility in southeastern Ukraine.
Danieli Corus will design and supply the blast furnace and all related installation parts.
The design will be based primarily on Corus Ijmuiden’s Blast Furnace No. 7. During a visit to the IJmuiden furnaces, which are known for their operational results, AMK representatives were also impressed by labor circumstances at the facility.
The project duration will be under two years.
