Danieli Contracted for New SBQ Mill Automation Package
01/23/2020 - Danieli India Ltd. has been chosen to supply the drives and process automation for a new 320,000-metric-ton special bar quality (SBQ) rolling mill, Danieli has announced.
In a statement, Danieli said the order, from Sunflag Iron & Steel Co. Ltd., includes the Level 1 automation, instrumentation, AC main drives, regenerative DC common bus technology, auxiliary drives, the main stand and shear LV motors, and motor control centers.
The new rolling mill will produce SBQ bars ranging from 45 mm to 120 mm in diameter.
