Danieli Awarded Order for Hot Rolling Production Line
02/21/2025 - Hengyang Valin Steel Pipe, a seamless pipe steel manufacturer, turned to Danieli to provide its new hot rolling production line at its facility in Hengyang, China.
According to a press release, Danieli will provide a cone-type piercing mill and a retained mandrel mill coupled with 3-roll type extracting and sizing mills. They will use Danieli Fine Quality Mill (FQM®) technology to produce seamless pipes with a wide range of diameters and wall thicknesses.
Danieli estimates the line will produce 800,000 tons annually of extra-large-diameter seamless tubes for the energy and infrastructure sectors in both the domestic and foreign markets.
The new line is expected to be commissioned in the summer of 2026 and will be run by Danieli Automation process control and systems, the companies said.
