CVS Technologies to Provide Rebar Plant to Llamkos Galva Steel
02/20/2013 - The Llamkos Galva Steel Co. and CVS Technologies signed a contract for a turnkey plant to produce 210,000 tonnes per year of rebar.
The Llamkos GalvaSteel Co. and CVS Technologies signed a contract for a turnkey plant to produce 210,000 tonnes per year of rebar. The plant will be located adjacent to an existing galvanizing plant in Kosovo and is expected to be commissioned by the first quarter of 2014. The company aims to meet demand in the local and Balkans markets, therefore this new project has been initiated in order to begin the production of billet and rebar.
The plant will consist of an induction furnace, ladle furnace, high speed billet caster, fume treatment plant, water treatment plant, rolling mill and ancillaries.
The plant will be designed according CVS Technologies’ best technology in the field of steel plant machinery, equipment and automation, in order to meet the following objectives: low investment, high productivity, high production flexibility, low specific consumption cost (electrical energy, alloys, natural gas, water, refractory), and high quality products.
