Court Reschedules Stelco Hearing on Sale of Subsidiaries
09/08/2004 - Stelco Inc. announced that the Court hearing scheduled to take place on Tuesday, Sep. 7, has been rescheduled for September 24, 2004. The hearing is being held to review and, if appropriate, to approve the processes for the sale of Stelwire, Stelpipe and Stelfil.
Stelco Inc. announced that the Court hearing scheduled to take place on Tuesday, Sep. 7, has been rescheduled for September 24, 2004. The hearing is being held to review and, if appropriate, to approve the processes for the sale of Stelwire, Stelpipe and Stelfil.
The delay will provide additional time in which the company and stakeholders can seek to resolve outstanding issues with respect to the proposed sales and related process.
Stelco also indicated that it will seek to extend the stay period under its Court-supervised restructuring process during that same hearing. The stay period currently expires on September 30th.
