Coronavirus Spread Slows Chinese Steel Industry
02/10/2020 - The coronavirus outbreak in China is tamping down steel demand and prompting producers to move up maintenance outages, reports Chinese business and financial new service Caixin Global.
According to Caixin, steel inventories are building and 40 blast furnaces throughout China are undergoing earlier-than-planned maintenance. Another 12 are set to be overhauled, Caixin reported.
